Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes the skin cells to reproduce rapidly. This condition results in patches of skin that are thick, red, dry and usually itchy. Generally psoriasis usually affects the skin of the elbows, scalp and knees most commonly.
For Psoriasis please answer the following questions:
What are the causes of Psoriasis?
What are the symptoms of Psoriasis?
What are treatment options for Psoriasis?
Is Psoriasis curable?
Is there a nationality, race or gender that this disease tends to affect more than others?
Are there any other interesting facts about this disease? (i.e. leading cause of death in women under 50, etc.)
In addition, please be sure you are answering any additional questions that anyone may be asking.
To the other groups asking questions... remember, as we discussed in class, we do not want to make these questions impossible for the group to answer. Instead we want the questions to be designed in such a way that we will learn the important facts about the diseases which we are discussing over the next few weeks.
